Yamaha - The Right Choice!

The Yamaha Difference

CDI/TCI Ignition Systems

Standard on every Yamaha, Yamaha’s CDI and TCI ignition systems are ‘solid state’ components, with no moving parts. This plays an important role in creating the remarkable record of easy starting, reliability and faultless performance for which Yamaha outboards are well known around the world.

• Reliable and easy starting
• Strong, steady spark generation at all speeds
• Consistency of spark allows longer plug life
• Maintenance free system

Composite drive shaft

These drives are tough, too. They feature permanent magnet motors, damage-resistant casings and coatings, and a special composite drive shaft that wont bend, break or corrode in normal use.

Steering friction adjustment

The single steering friction lever (available as an option) allows the steering to be easily adjusted during operation ensuring high stability at high speed.

Shallow Water Drive

Standard on most Yamaha models.

• Enables boat to be operated safely in shallow water
• Protects propeller and allows manoeuvring close inshore

Twist-grip throttle

The comfortable twist-grip throttle makes smooth speed changes and control very straightforward under all normal conditions and manoeuvring is a real pleasure.

Weedless Wedge

As a finishing touch, all Yamaha Electric Drives are fitted with a special Weedless Wedge propeller that maximises thrust, and is more resistant than most to trailing weeds and other underwater debris.
